Questionnaire

The Excel Questionnaire option allows you to upload and automate detailed, multi-question Excel-based questionnaires directly in NARAD.

You can upload any Excel format

• No need to modify the file structure

• No need to pre-format questions or answers

• No need to add or remove columns before upload

Once uploaded:

• A live preview of the Excel file is available directly inside the platform

Configuring the Questionnaire

After uploading the Excel file, you only need to configure as below:

1. Select the Sheet

• Choose the sheet where the questions are present

1. Column Mapping

• The column containing questions

• The column where you want responses to be written

• The column that has context (this is optional) - some questionnaire have an extra column that has more context to be read along with questionnaire before AI looks for answer

• The column with pre-defined options (this is optional) - some questionnaire comes with dropdown for answer

1. Row Mapping

• From which row AI should start reading questions

• Until which row AI should generate responses

Once this is set, AI starts generating responses automatically.

What AI Generates for Every Question

For each question in the Excel file, NARAD generates five outputs:

1. Detailed Answer - How much detail you want can be configured in Settings -> Configuration -> Detail Level

1. One-Word Answer - Yes, No or Not Applicable

1. Confidence Code - High, Medium or Low

1. Reference - where is answer coming from, includes document name and page number (where applicable)

1. Evidence (If Available) - potential evidence mapped based on context of Question and Answer

Smart Column Handling (No Manual Effort)

During column mapping:

• You only select one column for the main response

• The remaining four columns are auto-inserted by the platform

When you download the Excel:

• You will see five new columns added next to the question

• You can:

  • Keep or remove any columns

  • Use references, confidence, and evidence only for internal review

  • Remove them before sharing with clients or external parties

Preview Before Download

Before downloading the Excel file, you get a detailed preview inside the platform.

Within the preview, you can:

• See which answers are:

  • AI-generated

  • Manually written

  • Combination of AI + manual

  • Not answered

• Use filters to:

  • Identify unanswered questions

  • Review low-confidence responses

  • Focus only on specific question types

• Edit the language of any answer directly

• Refine responses without re-uploading the file

Download Only When Ready

• The Excel file can be downloaded only after review

• Until then, you can:

  • Edit answers

  • Apply filters

  • Improve wording

  • Ensure accuracy and confidence

This ensures responses are reviewed, controlled, and audit-ready before submission.

Documents Links

When you generate responses using the Narad AI module, each response may include links to Evidence and References. These links allow you to quickly open and verify the supporting documents directly from the response.

How These Links Work

• Clicking on an Evidence or Reference link opens the corresponding file directly

Important Security Note about links

• These are NOT public links.

• Evidence and reference links:

  • Work only if you are logged in to Narad

  • Do not open outside the platform

  • Will not work if shared externally

• If a user is Not logged in to Narad, the link will not open.

This restrictive design ensures

• Sensitive documents are never exposed publicly

• Evidence is accessed only by authorized users

• Strong access control during audits and reviews

• Safe internal collaboration without risk of data leakage
